Marketing meets technology in India: Insights from ad:tech Bangalore

The first ad:tech digital marketing event to be held in Bangalore sought to link India's technology industry with the digital advertising space.

The event had a number of key themes:

  • Integrated video planning
  • Brands in the cloud
  • Convergence of social
  • Funding for startups
  • Monetising apps
  • Impact of social media on retail

But two ideas really stood out: the importance of mobility, and the challenges of storytelling across the plethora of new media platforms.

Opening the conference was Pradeep Kar, Founder, Chairman and MD, Microland, who talked of the impact of cloud on enterprises and focused on how marketers will have to learn to leverage a larger outreach through feature phone apps.
