Gilt – a flash-sales platform for luxury apparel – knows how to track the latest fashion trends.
In applying similar logic to the fast-changing world of digital marketing, the brand became an early adopter of the direct-response ads officially unveiled by Instagram in late 2015. Through precise targeting, these messages can prompt members of a marketer's favoured audience within the photo-sharing tool's 400 million users to "shop now” for products, "install now" when promoting apps or "sign up" to mailing lists.
