The acquisition of Manhattan agency Berlin Cameron by London-headquartered WPP Group was completed Tuesday in a deal that hands the tiller of WPP’s global Red Cell network to the creative hotshop.

Andy Berlin (51) becomes chief creative officer of the worldwide unit, also doubling with newly-hired Lee Daley (38) as joint chief executive. The latter was previously executive vp of McCann-Erickson Europe.

Although the terms of the deal were not revealed, it was sealed at the expense of Berlin Cameron’s $15 million General Motors account, now expected to seek pastures new in view of the cheek-to-cheek relationship between WPP and Ford Motor Company.
