LONDON: After weeks of speculation about the future of its Voluntary United micro-network, WPP Group has confirmed it is shuttering the agency's London office and shifting clients plus some staff to sibling Grey London [WARC News: 05-Mar-07].

United lost the BSkyB satellite television account in December, business that accounted for seventy per cent of its billings.

Robert Campbell, who headed United London with Jim Kelly, resigned in January. Kelly is reported to be in discussions with WPP about a future role.

There are now eight United agencies. The network's chairman Andy Berlin has made no comment.
