Advertising agencies in WPP Group's Red Cell Network are to be streamlined into a smaller group, according to 'sources'.

The new entity, provisionally branded Red Cell United, would include Berlin Cameron/Red Cell in New York, Cole & Weber/Red Cell in Seattle and Red Cell agencies in London and Paris, as well as Madrid, Milan and Oslo.

The 'maybe' list includes Red Cell agencies in Buenos Aires and Brussels, and could also take in The Campaign Palace in Sydney.

Shops left out in the cold will probably be integrated into other WPP agencies such as JWT and Young & Rubicam.

The chosen few would be overseen by Red Cell's New York-headquartered ceo Andy Berlin, although he refuses to comment

WPP, the world's second largest advertising holding company, is equally tight-lipped.
