The former proprietor of Express Newspapers, Lord Clive Hollick, has issued a writ against new owner Richard Desmond, alleging that £4 million plus interest remains unpaid from the sale of the titles last November.
Desmond, better known prior to the £125m Express acquisition for his stable of porn titles such as Asian Babes, Nude Readers' Wives and Big Ones, denies Hollick’s accusation. The claim, says a spokesperson from defending law firm S J Berwin, is “without merit” and will be vigorously opposed.
