Audience ratings for BBC internet radio soared to record numbers in January.
Almost seven million listeners logged-on to the UK state funded broadcaster's radio on demand services, a rise of 70% over the same month last year.
Music fans listened to a record 4.2 million hours, with digital-only services leading the increase. 1Xtra, 6 Music, Asian Network and BBC 7 all reported record on-demand listening, totalling 1.2 million hours.
