Having delivered what some observers believe to be the coup de grace to Cordiant Communications by pulling its $30 million (€26.47m; £18.77m) global spirits account from the Bates Worldwide network [WAMN: 29-Apr-03], Allied Domecq has shifted its above and below-line business to Publicis Groupe’s Publicis Worldwide.

The account will be serviced by Publicis shops in fifty nations, said a press release. This also claimed that the business was awarded because of the network’s integrated approach bringing in numerous specialty capabilities around the world, including Publicis Dialog, the firm's public relations arm.

A new communications program for the brands will include media, design, sales promotions and events.
