INTRODUCTION
Newspapers enjoy a special status in Finnish homes. Dailies are usually read in the morning before going to work, and the majority of papers are delivered to homes. Daily newspapers reach 82% of Finns aged 15 years and over. Currently about thirty newspapers are published daily, which is a high figure even by European standards.
