Shopping online has become more common in China during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and this looks set to continue in the future, according to the latest data from Boston Consulting Group.
Across all nine shopping formats asked, between just 6% and 8% of consumers say they are spending more but don't plan to continue this after the outbreak.
Half of consumers in China are spending more on traditional e-commerce platforms like Taobao and JD.com, with 44% of consumers spending more and planning to continue this in the future.
