Head & Shoulders, the anti-dandruff shampoo owned by Procter & Gamble, is the UK’s Advertiser of the Month for September 2021. 

The brand saw Ad Awareness scores, which measure whether consumers have seen a commercial for a particular product in the past two weeks, go from 18.4 to 24.6: an increase of 6.2 points. 


With summer ending and autumn beginning, the need for an anti-dandruff shampoo could be increasing: some sources hold that the colder months can dry out the scalp – thereby manifesting white flakes in a decidedly less festive and holly-jolly fashion.

Data from YouGov Profiles shows that a fifth of Britons (18%) use anti-dandruff shampoos most frequently when it comes to their hair care routines. Our dataset also reveals that three in ten (30%) wash their hair daily – a practice which divides opinion and which some believe can contribute to flaky skin. Regardless, it’s a been a good month for the Head & Shoulders brand when it comes to awareness of its campaigns.
