With the March 4th deadline fast approaching, Cannes Lions have announced the jury that will decide the winners of the first-ever Creative Effectiveness Lions.

Joining jury chairman Jean-Marie Dru, who is also chairman of TBWA Worldwide, are star agency names including JWT's worldwide planning director Guy Murphy, Euro RSCG ceo Russ Lidstone and John Woodward, Publicis Worldwide's global planning director. The client side is also well represented, with other jurors including Mathilde Delhoume-Debreu, a director at P&G Asia & EMEA, LG's global communications director Kenneth Hong.

Cannes Lions decided to set up its new Creative Effectiveness category to highlight those campaigns which have had measurable business effects over time. That's why the category is open only to winners, or to those cases shortlisted, at the 2010 Cannes Lions (you can find out more about the rules on the organisers' website).

The deadline for all other Cannes Lions categories falls on March 11th, with the prizes themselves to be handed out at the International Festival of Creativity in late June. And Warc will be publishing all the Creative Effectiveness Lions-winning case studies soon after.
