GLOBAL: Senior marketers from McDonald’s, Spotify and Booking.com are joining the judging panel for the Best Use of Data category in the 2018 WARC Media Awards.

The WARC Media Awards are a comprehensive set of awards with a $40,000 Prize fund that rewards pioneering communications planning which has made a positive impact on business results for brands around the world.

The judging panel for the Best Use of Data category – there are four in all, the other three being Effective Use of Tech, Effective Channel Integration and Effective Use of Partnerships and Sponsorships – is being chaired for a second year by Nicole Kane, Director, Global Media at McDonald’s Corporation, where she oversees global partnerships, accountability, and agency relationships.

“I’m excited to chair this group for the second year in a row, as all of us are working to understand how we can better use data to fuel insights,” Kane said. "Based on the high caliber, and wide range of experience of my fellow judges, I anticipate great debate on this years award submissions.”

Joining her from the client- and media-side are Marco Bertozzi, VP of Sales Europe at Spotify, Ollie Shayer, Manager, Global Media Strategy and Planning Team at Booking.com and Paul de la Nougerede, Commercial Product Director at Telegraph Media Group.

From the agency-side judges include: Nnamdi David, Media Strategy Director at MullenLowe Mediahub, Saskia Jones, Data Strategy Director at BBH London, Belinda Lush, Group Strategy Director at Colenso BBDO, Charli Ursell, Senior Director of Digital Planning & Data, at PHD UAE .

Also on the panel are Ian Forrester, Global SVP of Insight and Solutions at Unruly, Rachel Kennedy, Professor of Marketing Science and Associate Director (Product Development) at Ehrenberg-Bass Institute, Nikki Mendonça, Global President at Accenture Interactive Operations and Nick Pugh, Head of Effectiveness at Ebiquity.
