Senior executives from L’Oréal, Accenture and Sling TV are among the judges being announced today for the Effective Social Strategy category in the 2020 WARC Awards scheme, a global search for next-generation marketing effectiveness.

The Effective Social Strategy category, one of four in the WARC Awards scheme, recognises campaign strategies that relied on the benefits of particular social platforms – or a combination of platforms – to fulfil particular business objectives.

Entry is free and papers submitted as effectiveness case studies are welcomed from any market or discipline. More information and details about how to enter can be found on the WARC Awards site.

The judging panel of industry experts is chaired by Lex Bradshaw-Zanger, Chief Marketing Officer, L’Oréal UK & Ireland; Lex is also Chief Digital Officer at We Like The World. He is joined by Kristen Fox, Brand Marketing, Social at Sling TV and Andrew Soane, Associate Director & Global Social Strategy Lead at Accenture.

Joining them from the agency side are Remie Abdo, Head of Strategy, at TBWA\Raad, Jitender Dabas, Chief Strategy Officer at McCann Worldgroup India, Chris Donnelly, Founder & CEO of Verb Brands, Lorenzo Foffani, Head of Strategy at AKQA Italy, Iuren Ramiro, Planning Manager & Strategy Consultant at Santa Clara, Sebastian Redenz, Head of Paid Social at Havas Media Group, Eugenia Tan, Managing Director at GOODSTUPH, Charlotte Tansill, Executive Director of Social at Ogilvy, Zoe Virtue, Head of Social & Digital at Mango Communications, Joe Wade, Founding Partner & Executive Creative Director at Don’t Panic London.

In addition to the Grand Prix, which will win $7,000, judges will also grant three $1,000 Special Awards:

• the Path-to-Purchase Award, for a social strategy that successfully drove sales;

• the Smart Spender Award, for a social strategy that was effective on a budget of $500k or less; and

• the Live Award, for the best real-time campaign that has helped the brand achieve a specific business result.
