Bella Thomas is a documentary film–maker and an adviser to a new museum in Bristol about the British Empire. She has worked as a journalist in Madrid, Paris, Mexico, Armenia, Algeria and Cuba, and written for Prospect, The Guardian, the New York Times and the Washington Post.
