Geert Loosveldt

Geert Loosveldt obtained his PhD in social sciences in 1986 with a study entitled 'The effect of interviewer training on the quality of survey data'. He is currently Associate Professor and head of the Centre for Survey Methodology at the department of Sociology of the K.U. Leuven. His research focuses on research methodology in general and evaluation of survey data quality in particular. In 2002 he was appointed by the National Research Fund as the national co-ordinator of the European Social Survey in Flanders (First round). He is also a member of the steering committee of the annual Flemish survey 'Social and Cultural Changes in Flanders '.
