John Curtice
John
Curtice is Professor of Politics and Director of the Social Statistics
Laboratory at
Strathclyde
University
, and Deputy Director of the Centre for Research on Elections and Social Trends.
A member of the Market Research Society's inquiry into the performance of
opinion polls in the 1992 general election, he has continued to undertake
research on survey methodology and the conduct of opinion polls and was awarded
the David Winton prize for the best technical paper at the 1997 Market Research
Society conference. He also writes and comments regularly about the results of
opinion polls in the media as well as undertaking academic research into
electoral behaviour and political and social attitudes.
