Jeffrey E Brand

Jeffrey E Brand is a doctoral candidate in the Mass Media Program at Michigan State University. He received his MA in communication studies from the University of Michigan in 1989 and his BA in journalism from Grand Valley State College in 1986. In 1992 he received a nationally competitive grant to study new methods for conducting television audience research with children and one of six annual awards at MSU for 'Excellence-in-Teaching.' His research interests include television effects on youth with a locus on social psychological phenomena affecting gender, racial, and ethnic stereotyping.
