Michael Jay Polonsky

Michael Jay Polonsky is a lecturer in marketing at the University of Newcastle, in Australia, where he co-ordinates the marketing group. His primary research interest is environmental marketing. He has published works in this area in the International Journal of Advertising and the Journal of Consumer Marketing. He has also undertaken research and published in the areas of outshopping, marketing education, environmental management, and political advertising. He has taught in the United States, South Africa, New Zealand and at several universities in Australia. He is currently undertaking his PhD at the Australian Catholic University, where he is examining how stakeholder theory can be applied to marketing.
