Christian Derbaix is a professor and head of the Marketing Department at the Catholic University of Mons (FUCaM, Belgium) and director of the Laboratory for Consumer Behavior Analysis (LABACC). He is currently president of the French Marketing Association. His research interests focus on the measurement of affective reactions elicited by commercials, the study of children’s consumer behavior, and symbolic consumption by soccer fans. Dr. Derbaix’s work has appeared in the Journal of Marketing Research, the Journal of Advertising Research, the International Journal of Research in Marketing, Psychology and Marketing, Advances in Consumer Research, the Journal of Economic Psychology, and elsewhere.
