Abhilasha Mehta is director
of research at Gallup & Robinson, Inc. Prior to joining Gallup
& Robinson, she was assistant
professor of advertising at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at
Syracuse University. She holds a Ph.D. in social psychology from Syracuse
University. Her research interests include advertising processing and the
role of advertising in building brands. Dr. Mehta has published widely including
previously in the Journal of Advertising
Research. Recent publications include work on advertising
effectiveness on the new interactive television program guides. She is an active
presenter at industry and academic conferences and has also been the recipient
of an ARF David Ogilvy Research Award for research excellence in support of
creative and successful advertising campaigns.
