Carol J. Pardun is an
associate professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University
of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received her Ph.D. from the University
of Georgia. Her current research interests include images on music videos,
product placements in television and film, and the relationship of magazine
advertising and corporate websites. She has published articles in the Journal
of Broadcasting & Electronic Media, Communication Reports, and Youth
& Society, among others.
