James (Jimmy)
W. Peltier is professor and chair of the department of marketing at the University
of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Dr. Peltier has a number of award-winning papers in
the area of psychographics-based communications and is the recipient of the 2001
Outstanding Educator Award sponsored by the Direct Marketing Association. Most
recently, he was Selected as the Outstanding Educator of the Year (2001) by the
Direct Marketing Educational Foundation, He is also director of research for Knupp
& Watson, Inc. of Madison, Wisconsin, with clients ranging across both
the for-profit and not-for-profit industries. He has published articles in the
Journal of Interactive Marketing, the Journal of Direct Marketing, the Journal
of Health Care Marketing, Health Marketing Services, and the Academy of
Managerial Communications, among others.
