Arjun
Chaudhuri is professor of marketing and Chair of the Department of Marketing in
the Charles F. Dolan School of Business, Fairfield University,
Connecticut. He graduated from Calcutta University, India, with a BA 11972) and
an MA (1974) in English. He received an MA and a Ph.D in communication science
(specialization, marketing communication) from the University of Connecticut.
Dr. Chaudhuri has taught marketing and communication courses in the United
States since 1982. He has been at Fairfield University since 1991 and has taught
both graduate and undergraduate courses. He has worked as a sales administration
manager for a cigarette and packaged-tea company in India, as a marketing
manager in a joint venture in Indonesia, and has served as a consultant to
various companies, most recently as a brand consultant to Grey Worldwide
in New York City. His research has focused on the role of emotional
communication in the advertising, branding, and marketing of products and
services.
