Marcus Schmidt

Marcus Schmidt is an Associate Professor at the Copenhagen Business School, Center for Market Economics. Before coming to Copenhagen in 2001, he worked as a researcher at the University of Southern Denmark. He is a three-times winner of the AMA Best Paper Award in Marketing Research (Summer Educators’ Conference in 1990, 1992 and 1998). His papers have appeared in journals as wide-ranging as Futures, International Journal of Public Opinion Research, Qualitative Market Research, Journal of Services Research, and European Advances in Consumer Research. Marcus is a member of the Editorial Board of the journal Tourism Analysis. He is co-author of the book International Marketing Research (to be published by Prentice-Hall/Financial Times in 2004). Since the late 1980s he has been consulting for the Danish subsidiary of the marketing research agency GfK.
