Steve Burgess (PhD Witwatersrand, BScBA Ohio State) is Professor of Business Administration in Marketing and Research Director in the Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town and a Faculty Affiliate of the William Davidson Institute, University of Michigan Business School. He formerly held the Association of Marketers’ Chair at the University of the Witwatersrand, was managing director of South Africa’s largest independent cellular service provider and a marketing executive at Johnson & Johnson.
