Hwang is a doctoral candidate at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville,
and a graduate of the University of Tennessee (MS) and Chung�Ang University,
Korea (BA). He has been majoring in communications with advertising
specialisation. His academic interests fall under various combinations of
international marketing communications, interactive advertising and cultural
norms. His research works have been presented at the AAA (the American Academy
of Advertising) and AEJMC (the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass
Communications) annual conferences.
