Peter Walsh is research director of Telmar Group Inc. He was previously executive director of business and consumer research for ACNielsen in Sydney; before that, managing director of Frank Small & Associates (now TNS) in Singapore and he ran his own research company, Kenning Australia for 10 years. He originally became interested in media research in his first research job in the early 70s, after which he spent a couple of years as an agency media director in Sydney. He had the good fortune to meet Dick Dodson and Neil Shepherd-Smith at readership symposia in 1985.
