Anthony Greener joined the Board of Guinness plc as a Non–Executive Director in August 1986. In October 1987 he became Managing Director with responsibility for the total spirits business, including all Distillers’ and Bell’s spirits companies, and in January 1989 was appointed to the Directoire of LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SA.
He was previously Chief Executive of Dunhill Holdings, having joined Alfred Dunhill Ltd as Retail Controller in 1972. Prior to joining Dunhill he had been Marketing Manager of Unilever’s subsidiary, Thames Board Mills.
