Eric de Bellaigue is a Director of CIBC Securities Europe (previously the stockbrokers Grenfell & Colegrave). Born in France, he was brought up in England and Canada (McGill University) and started his working life as a reporter on the Montreal Star, sadly no longer with us. His subsequent experience has been financial – Bank of Montreal, Greenshields stockbrokers, J Henry Schroder Wagg, and stockbroking in London. Author of ‘The Business of Books – the de Bellaigue Report’ – he has contributed to a number of business magazines.
