Michael Bird

Michael Bird started his career in 1959 with television audience research, but has been involved in magazine publishing or magazine research since 1961. Apart from having run the Target Group Index at BMRB for five years he has been a publisher with IPC and marketing director of the National Magazine Company.

From 1982 to 1988 he was managing director of International Thomson’s consumer magazine division, and in 1988 he was appointed senior visiting research fellow at the London Business School. He is currently planning director at Thomson Information Services Ltd.
