Humphrey is the Chairman of the Harris poll, a service of Harris Interactive.  He has been responsible for more than 8000 surveys in more than 80 countries.  In 1966, he founded Opinion Research Centre in London, which was bought by Louis Harris & Associates in 1970.  While in Britain, Humphrey conducted all of the private political polling for the Conservative Party and was a close advisor to primes ministers Edward Heath and Margaret Thatcher.  In 1976, he moved to New York.  He was appointed President of Harris in 1981, CEO in 1992 and Chairman in 1994.
