Jan LeBlanc Wicks is an associate professor in the Lemke Journalism Department at the University of Arkansas. She has a Ph.D. in communication arts and sciences � mass media (advertising) from Michigan State University. Dr. wicks won the 2000 Baskett Mosse Award for Faculty Development given by the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication for her research. Her research was cited in a hearing before Congress by a former head of the Bureau of Consumer Protection of the Federal Trade Commission, she has published in the Journal of Advertising, the Journal of Advertising Research, the Journal of Broadcasting and Electronic Media, and the Journal of Media Economics. She is a co-author of the first and second editions of Media Management: A Casebook Approach, published by Erlbaum.
