William D. Wells

In the 1960's William D Wells was an associate professor of psychology and a member of the graduate faculty of Rutgers University.  He also was a consultant to Benton & Bowles, Inc., where he was engaged in the development and application of new research methods.  He received an AB from Lafayette College in 1950 and an MA in 1952 and a PhD in 1954 from Stanford University.  Among his publications are two articles in this Journal on yeasaying response style.  Dr Wells represented the consumer psychology division on the council of representatives of the American Psychological Association.
