Many non-profits, even those with a long history of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) programs, re-examined their efforts after the murder of George Floyd in 2020 and the subsequent racial protests across the country. In many cases, that meant intensive work, ramping up existing initiatives, or creating new ones. Several non-profits dedicated to community service and social justice offer a look at DEIB best practices.
