Web 2.0 refers to the new generation of tools and services which allow private individuals to publish and collaborate in ways previously available only to corporations with serious budgets, or to dedicated enthusiasts and semi-professional web builders. The key characteristic of Web 2.0 is that it lets people collaborate and share information online.
