With each passing week, the drumbeat grows in the national media over consumer privacy fears. To illustrate the rising level of privacy worries, the Washington Post recently focused on Keith Little, a computer technician who makes house calls in a rural area. He has noticed a sharp increase in privacy fears among the farm families that he serves.

The Post reported: 'What surprises people is how often Little finds programs designed to funnel bits of their personal information from their computers and into giant corporate databases.'
