Traditionally at this time of year, we carefully review the issues confronting us. We then project what we foresee will be the major issues facing the government relations arena. In 2003 we have already been forced to meet a wide array of challenges across an unusually broad spectrum of issues.

For a host of reasons, advertising is under concerted attack. Apparently, politicians feel about advertising, to borrow Senator John McCain's colorful phrase, 'like mosquitoes at a nudist colony. So many inviting targets.'
