Pet, food and non-alcoholic drink brands are among the top performers in Amazon promotional activity, according to an analysis in WARC's latest Digital Commerce Index Amazon report.

While product promotions can boost sales and improve organic search performance, excessive promotional activity can corrode brand health, compress margins and teach customers to expect discounts. As a result, the dComm Index awards higher scores for brands using less promotional activity.
