Women prefer mobile and puzzle gaming

An overview of appealing game features among female and male gamers.

Female gamers are more likely to be found playing puzzle-based games on mobile, according to data from games insights company Newzoo.

Women represent around half (46%) of gamers in the ten largest gaming markets, but they are slightly more likely than men to play on mobile devices (94% of female gamers compared to 90% of male gamers). They also play more often – 35% of women gamers play on mobile five times a week versus 29% of male gamers. Even if they prefer mobile gaming, they can also be found playing on console (with 66% using this device)...
