The New York Times has topped four million paid digital subscribers, according to the latest company reports. The global newsbrand added 273,000 new digital subscriptions in Q3 2019, the third largest increase ever recorded.

This covers those who have paid for a digital subscription and does not include readers who receive free access as part of their print subscription.
