Shopping online is the activity most likely to see a long-term gain after the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak ends, according to the latest data from GlobalWebIndex. Half (49%) of consumers expect to shop online more frequently after COVID-19, the highest share among the seven activities asked.
Across the 18 markets surveyed, at least two-fifths of consumers expect to more frequently exercise at home (43%) and use mobile payments (41%) after the outbreak ends. However, using food delivery services is least likely to see a long-term gain – only 22% of consumers expect to do this more in the future....
