Online mobile consumption reached one hour and 30 minutes in Germany this year, according to the latest data from GlobalWebIndex. While this is an increase of 105.6% (46 minutes) from 2012, online mobile made up only one-third (32.7%) of total online consumption in H1 2018. Since its peak in 2013, PC/laptop/tablet has fallen 27 minutes to 3:06 (hours:minutes) but clearly remains the most used device for online time.

Total online consumption in Germany totaled 4:37 in H1 2018, one hour and eight minutes lower than the European average. While total consumption in Germany has remained relatively stable since 2013, consumption in Europe rose by half an hour.
