Amazon-owned streaming platform Twitch has seen a long-term increase in audience activity as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, according to data from TwitchTracker.
The average number of viewers per month saw a rapid increase in April 2020 during stay-at-home orders, rising from 1.64m in March that year to 2.49m. While audiences eased in subsequent months, this figure has remained above 2.0m and both August and September saw growth from July's figures.
