Top Chinese FMCG companies attracted 82m more consumers this year

An overview of the top 22 FMCG companies in China in 2019 and 2020.

FMCG companies have managed to attract more customers in China this year despite the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, though three struggled in a year of challenges, according to data from Kantar Worldpanel.

The top 22 FMCG companies in China, all of which attracted over 100m urban Chinese households in the 52 weeks ending 9 October 2020, added 82m more consumers combined this year.

Shuanghui attracted the most new consumers, adding 10m more than in 2019 (+9.3%) to reach 119m. Haday's quick growth this year as a result of more time spent cooking at home, adding 10m buyers (+7.5%), means...
