Threads, Instagram’s new standalone text-based conversation app, is making swift progress in its attempt to catch up with Twitter’s audience size, according to new research.
The Meta-owned platform - which launched in early July - closely mimics the look, feel and functionality of Twitter. In an Instagram post, Mark Zuckerberg talked up the idea of a “friendly public space for conversation”, in the hope of attracting users dissatisfied with Twitter since its acquisition by Elon Musk.
