Sponsored gaming viewing boomed in Q1

An overview of the number of hours of sponsored gaming livestreams watched in Q1 2020 and 2021.

The number of hours of sponsored gaming livestreams watched has more than doubled, a quicker rate of growth than for non-sponsored gaming content during the same period, according to data from gaming analytics platform Stream Hatchet.

Over 110m hours of sponsored gaming livestream content were watched in Q1 2021, equal to a year-on-year increase of 137%. This growth was 80% among all livestreamed gaming content.
