The popularity of Facebook is in decline across Europe and the United States, according to the latest research from AudienceProject. One-fifth (19%) of internet users said Facebook was one of their top three favourite websites in 2019, down from 27% who said the same in 2017.
This decline is largest in Norway, where Facebook saw its popularity fall from 33% in 2017 to 18% in 2019. A similar picture is visible in the UK, dropping from 30% to 19% over the same period.
