Digital video content and services now account for 80.8% of all video spend, according to the latest research from the Entertainment Retailers Association. UK consumers spent £2.1bn on digital video in 2019, an increase from £154m in 2010 and a share of 6.1%.
Consumer spending on digital music content and services reached £1.1bn last year, topping £1 billion for the first time. This pushes its share of total music spend to above three-quarters (77.5%), up from one-quarter (26.3%) in 2010.
