Growth in the download of apps peaked in the second week of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, according to data from app analytics platform Sensor Tower. Across nine major markets, app downloads rose 41% in the second week after the 200th confirmed case of COVID-19 when compared to a pre-outbreak average. This growth then slows in the following weeks, to 34%
